Sale or return offers you the opportunity to reach your vehicle's sale potential without the hassle of selling the vehicle yourself.

You can sell your car privately, but this can come with some potential pitfalls such as knowing the market, buyers not showing up when promised, large sums of cash and the risk of fraud.

GC Motors are experts in the preparation for and the sale of prestige cars, we can apply this expertise to market and sell the car on behalf of you.

Unlike many others, we do not charge you for a workshop inspection or valet, and any work required to sell the car will be discussed prior to sale and carried out at our internal rates not retail.

How does Sale or Return (SOR) Work:

  • Market Research – We will compare your car against others in the market with similar age, mileage and specification from our live database and industry tools to give you the very best retail price for your car.
  • Valuation – upon agreeing on a fair market valuation we are then ready to put the wheels in motion and put your car through our sales preparation.
  • The retail treatment – your car will be professionally shot & described by our team, ensuring that we display the vehicle in its very best light to capture the largest audience available in a busy marketplace.
  • Demand generation – in some instances we can insure and display your car onsite, however, we also allow you to maintain use of the vehicle until there is genuine demand on the car – keeping your life moving while we do the hard work for you.
  • Finance – GC Motors are FCA accredited to offer finance products, this can enable a wider audience the access to your car. We currently see 80% of used prestige cars follow the finance route and this can dramatically increase your cars demand.
  • Insured– Your car will be fully insured when in our possession.

Our security measures are continually improved in line with technological developments.

Terms and Conditions
GC Motors will adopt certain criteria of vehicles into their physical onsite stock under our insurance, this criteria is subject to market demand and may change at any point.
Our ideal stock profile is under 8 years old, 45k miles, 5 owners or less with a full service history and MOT – all car retailed by GC Motors must undergo a HPI and have no insurance category claims against them. If the seller/car owner is to keep the vehicle, the seller/ car owner must be able to transport the vehicle to GC Motors, Ripon Road Dealership for both workshop inspections/customer viewings. *Cars can be advertised indefinitely but may be subject to additional workshop inspections and service routines at the owners cost – GC Motors withhold the right to reject vehicles if the selling price or specification is deemed unrealistic or damaging to GC Motors stock profile.
